DYNASET SCU Surface Cleaning Unit, in front of the compact loader, is an all-in-one cleaning unit for powerful and fast surface cleaning. It is the perfect tool for cleaning parking halls and other paved areas. Because the unit sucks the dirty water off from the surface, it’s perfect for places where water cannot be left on the surface. The freshwater capacity of the unit is 540 liters, and the dirty water is 540 liters.

SCU Surface Cleaning Unit – Grand Jewel of Washing

This attachment, seen in front of the machine in the photo, is an all-in-one unit for surface power washing and vacuuming. The first model of the SCU Surface Cleaning Unit is called SCU-220-1500-M-12. The idea is simple: beneath the unit is a surface power washer and a powerful vacuum blade that collects the dirty water from the surface after power washing. The cleaning unit has a freshwater reservoir (540 liters) and a dirty water reservoir (540 liters).

The unit is connected to the machine with two hydraulic hoses and an electrical connector. Hydraulic requirements are 110 l/min flow at 210 bar pressure. The hydraulic power is utilized for two pieces of hydraulic equipment. The first is the centrifugal fan, which creates the suction, and the second is the hydraulic water pump. The electrical connector is for the system’s switch, as some hydraulic valves are electrically operated. The unit is also equipped with a floating attaching system, meaning that the unit is always at an optimal distance from the surface.

Showing the SCU Surface Cleaning Unit from below.
Under the unit, two rotational power washing nozzle pipes use power washing (220 bars) to clean the surface. Between them and the metallic tank is a vacuum blade that sucks the dirty water inside the unit.

How does it work?

The washing is done by two powerful rotational washing nozzles, which deliver water to the surface up to 220 bar pressure beneath the unit. The rotation of the nozzles enhances the washing because the water reaches the surface from multiple angles. The rotation of these nozzle pipes is created with the water flow. The washing power is created with the DYNASET HPW 220 Hydraulic High Pressure Water Pump. Behind the nozzles, there is a powerful vacuum blade that sucks the dirty water off the surface to the dirty water tank. Suction is created by a powerful DYNASET HCF 350 Hydraulic Centrifugal Fan. The washing area width is 1500 millimeters in SCU-220-1500-M-12.

Even though the unit uses high-pressure water, it can be used in tight spaces because water or objects cannot splash into the surroundings because of a skirt that surrounds the washing area. For example, parking hall cleaning can be done safely even while the hall is open for customers.

As a cherry on the cake, the SCU Surface Cleaning Unit is an extremely versatile washing unit because of two additional features. Firstly, it has a power washing nozzle pipe (width: 1250 millimeters) in front of the unit. It can be used for normal street washing or, as some of the users prefer to use it, prewashing without suction. Secondly, SCU is equipped with a power washing pistol and hose reel, allowing manual power washing. This helps you to wash tight places like corners. It is also notable that all unit features can be used separately. For example, if you want to use suction but not power washing, it is possible.

SCU Surface Cleaning Unit in action
SCU Surface Cleaning Unit has wheels on all four corners, and combined with a floating attachment system, the unit is kept within the optimal distance from the surface all the time. The black skirt behind the front wheels ensures nothing flies from under the unit during the power washing.

SCU Surface Cleaning Unit also has a regular street washing pipe in front, which can be used, for example, prewashing. In the middle of the unit are a technical compartment and a water pressure gauge. By standard, the unit has a power washing pistol and a 20-meter hose reel for manual power washing. The handles on the front panel are used to choose which power washing ability is activated: surface cleaning with rotational nozzles, street cleaning with the power washing nozzle pipe in front, or manual power washing with the pistol.
