The highlights of my career have been three Finnish championships, one European Championship silver, and numerous points in the MXGP class. I have represented the Finnish national team for five years in the Motocross of Nation national team competitions.

Max Koivula

My name is Max Koivula and I live in Nokia. I compete in Ice Speedway, where my goal is to win the world championship and be able to race professionally, at least during the winter. My most notable achievements at the moment are 4th place in the Nordic Championship, 6th place in the European Championship and 10th place in the World Championship. So far along the way there has been some bad luck at crucial moments, but the direction is upwards, as I have only 2 full seasons in the sport.

This season I’ve ridden in the women’s enduro World Championship, one European Championship and a couple of World Championship races. In the future, I hope to be able to race the European Championship and the World Championship as a whole. Last season I won the first ever Finnish Women’s Enduro Championship and this season I won the championship again.

Viktor Leppälä

Hi! I’m Viktor Leppälä, a 12-year-old motocross rider. I have been riding motocross since I was 3 years old. I started racing at a very young age and raced abroad, first in the 50cc class and later in the 65cc class. In 2020, I won the Finnish 65cc class championship. In 2021, I placed third in the European Championship and was the first Finn to reach the podium in the final. The Finnish Motorcycle Association awarded me with the Junior of the Year award.

The 2022 season started well with the Finnish junior ice track championship. I also had a great season in the European Motocross Championship, where I was the best Finn. We won silver as a team at the World Junior Championships in Vantaa, Finland. I won the Coupe de l’Avenir in France and with that performance Finland got silver in juniors as a team. The Finnish Motor Association awarded the achievements with the Newcomer of the Year award.

The year 2023 was full of misfortune. On the ice track, the bikes’ technology failed and on the March race, I had the worst injury of my career. After a long recovery, I was on the pace of the top European championship drivers in the Coupe de l’Avenir junior team event in the autumn. The goals for the 2024 season is to win both, the European and World Championships, as well as the popular German series.
