The Accessory for Diggers and Backhoes That Makes Difference!

In the field of earth moving, efficiency is as important as every other field of industry. That is why contractors are searching for new ways to do tasks even faster. Proper pieces of digger equipment make this easier because accessories of an excavator or backhoe make the machine more efficient and versatile. These mean more possibilities for the contractor to earn money.

This article tells how vibration can help in the field of earthmoving. In other words, we are talking about DYNASET HVB Hydraulic Vibra. It is an accessory that makes a bucket of an excavator or backhoe vibrate. The vibration boosts the digger or backhoe to a new level.

What Does It Bring to the Table?

The most common tasks of Hydraulic Vibra are listed on the right. But how does it do all of these?

The first of them, penetration enhancing, is a common way to benefit from this piece of equipment. Vibration helps the bucket to penetrate the soil. That’s because the combination of the pressure of the bucket and vibration breaks the structure of the soil easier than just the pressure.

HVB Hydraulic Hydraulic Vibra enhances

  • penetration to frozen, hard, and rocky ground
  • bucket emptying
  • soil compacting
  • asphalt cutting
  • pile driving
Vibration makes the bucket emptying much faster which makes working more efficient.
Sticky soil can slow-down the emptying of a bucket of excavator or backhoe. With the right accessories, the emptying can be much faster. Here the Hydraulic Vibra is used for fast bucket emptying.

Bucket emptying is also an important task to Hydraulic Vibra. Especially clay or muddy soil can stick into excavator’s bucket tightly. This accessory helps you to empty the bucket faster without shaking the joystick. Just activate the vibration with a joystick’s button and the bucket starts to vibrate.

Vibration also makes it possible to compact soil without a plate compactor or such. So, you don’t need to leave your excavator’s cabin for the compacting task. Just place your bucket onto the compacting-needing soil and activate the vibration. The pressure of the bucket and vibration will do the compacting task. This is a common way to use the Hydraulic Vibra and Petri Salomaa from Maanrakennus T Salomaa has used DYNASET HVB Hydraulic Vibra like this since 2015.

  • The device [HVB] is good for compacting thin layers of soil. It is also good with a ripper when the soil is frozen. The device has been reliable, tells Petri Salomaa.
An excavator which is boosted with an ultimate digger accessory, Hydraulic Vibra, is much more efficient in daily tasks.
Here the DYNASET HVB Hydraulic Vibra helps in soil compacting. This piece of equipment makes the bucket vibrate which makes it work like a plate compactor. It makes working more efficient because it saves you time.

Asphalt cutting can be boosted with vibration. With an asphalt cutter and Hydraulic Vibra, smaller machinery can do cutting tasks. That’s because the vibration helps the blade to cut the asphalt without that much pressure. Because the pressure is lower, the asphalt won’t crack from unwanted places that much.

Pile driving is also possible with this accessory. Excavator can grab a pile with a grapple, press the pile against the ground and with the help of the vibration, the pile is driven into the soil. This technique is much used in fence and dock building projects.

  • I’ve used it [Hydraulic Vibra] for many tasks like soil compacting and pile driving for example. And with ripper it is perfect for excavating frozen soil, tells Jussi Mäkelä, also known as mr seilorman, from Kaivuripalvelu Markku Järvinen Oy, who has used the Hydraulic Vibra since 2013.

Does It Hurt My Machine?

When you know for what you are doing with the HVB Hydraulic Vibra, there is no problems.

If you are an excavator operator, you might worry about what the vibration could do to your machine. Because of this, we asked from Petri Salomaa and Jussi Mäkelä has there been any problems because of the Hydraulic Vibra.

  • When you know for what you are doing with the HVB Hydraulic Vibra, there is no problems, says Petri Salomaa.
  • Many people have asked me directly if the Hydraulic Vibra will damage the excavator. That’s because of the YouTube videos that I’ve posted about the Hydraulic Vibra. During past seven years, the vibration hasn’t done any damage to my excavators, tells Jussi Mäkelä.

And Jussi Mäkelä knows what he talks about. The year was 1965 when he jumped on the operator’s seat the first time. A couple of years ago he retired from operating but he is still doing consultation in the field of earth moving.

Also, with a Hydraulic Vibra, the operator doesn’t need to use the “old-school” way for bucket emptying via joystick-shake. Shaking the joystick to remove the soil from the bucket is more hurtful to your machine than a controlled vibration. That’s because the old school way uses much more force for the same task. Vibration is also activated only when needed and it is used in short bursts. It means that the total running time of the accessory is only a fraction of the operating hours of an excavator or backhoe itself.

Our customers have been using these Hydraulic Vibra’s for years and we have gotten zero complaints about pin or bushing damage. So, diggers and backhoes will not get hurt because of the Hydraulic Vibra.

The Cherry on the Cake

The fact that this piece of equipment boosts machinery means cost-effectiveness because smaller machinery is often cheaper to buy, maintain, and use. Because one machine can do more, the contractor will not need that many machines into their line-up to do the same portfolio of tasks.

Also, using the smaller machinery means less emissions which is becoming more important factor to clients of the construction projects.

So, with the right pieces of equipment, you can do more with your excavator or backhoe!
