The rule of thumb is that if your excavator has a hammer line, it can run HMAG PRO Hydraulic Magnet. The magnet can also be used with an older excavator that doesn’t have modern flow and pressure adjustments. That’s because the magnet generator inside the HMAG PRO has its own pressure-compensated flow restrictor and pressure limiter, ensuring smooth operation without compromising hydraulic systems. So, if your excavator has a hammer line and can lift this magnet, you are good to go.

The HMAG PRO Hydraulic Magnet offers an optional DSMART control system. DSMART is a mobile app that allows users to monitor the performance of their magnet generators and adjust settings via Bluetooth connection. It also provides data on magnet generator usage. 

With DSMART, you can optimize your scrap magnet’s performance through four different operating modes: 

1. Normal: This is the default mode and operates the generator in its standard way. This is how HMG Hydraulic Magnet Generator users have used the magnet so far.
2. Fast-Up: This mode allows you to speed up the magnetizing process, enabling the magnet to reach its full power faster. This translates to faster metal pick-up, ultimately increasing work efficiency. This mode can be used continuously based on your preference. So, you can choose Fast-Up mode if you prioritize speed in your work. Conversely, you can choose the Normal mode if you want more time to monitor the magnetizing process.
3. Sorting: As the name suggests, this mode is designed to help with metal sorting. In this mode, the magnetizing level can be reduced slowly. This allows for the controlled release of specific metal pieces from the magnet. For instance, to release the last collected material, you can press a button to initiate the magnetizing level reduction. Once the desired material drops, releasing the button ensures the remaining materials are held firmly within the magnet.
4. Eco: This mode reduces the magnet’s power, lowering energy consumption. Technically speaking, when this function is activated, the magnet first reaches its nominal power when scrap is collected. Then, it drops until it reaches 60 % of the nominal power. As a result, the generator doesn’t heat up that much, allowing more extended working periods. This is ideal for tasks that don’t require the generator’s full power, minimizing energy usage.

Extensive Attachment Options

The HMAG PRO Hydraulic Magnet has plenty of excellent accessories. The standard HMAG PRO model comes with a lifting chain. The chain is a good pick as it allows the magnet to swing freely, making it easy to collect small pieces of metal from a larger area.

We also offer S-attachments (S40-S80) and Steelwrist quick coupling systems. On top of that we supply lifting adapter attachments. This special attachment, which looks like a mushroom, is hitched on top of the magnet, allowing you to grab it with a lotus-type grapple. All these attachments can be either welded or bolted to our lifting adapter plate, making them easy to pick op with your excavator. So, in other words, you may get ready-to-use magnets to your worksite directly without any hassle.

Many HMAG PRO Hydraulic Magnet users also have equipped their magnets with claws. Claws help them to sort metal from the debris piles.

Versatile line-up

HMAG PRO Hydraulic Magnet line-up has four models. The smallest one, HMAG PRO 700-18, has a diameter of 750 millimeters and a weight with chains of 450 kilograms. The biggest version of the HMAG PRO has a 1450-millimeter diameter and weighs an astonishing 1870 kilograms with chains. The line-up includes an HMAG PRO version with ED100% for the most extreme usage environments.
