Every company needs strong partners to succeed. That is also the case with us, and we have done cooperation with many manufacturer clients for 35 years. Cooperation can take many forms and product tailoring is one of them. Product tailoring means that a standard product is modified through the tailoring process to meet customer’s special needs.

• We have done different kinds of product tailoring projects in cooperation with different companies since the company was born. Back then those projects were basically the lifeblood for our company. Nowadays they are still a big part of our business and we are actively searching for new opportunities and partners, tells Anni Karppinen Executive Vice President of Dynaset.

The first cooperative relationship with a manufacturer company started in the ’90s with a Finnish compact loader company called Avant. These days, we still cooperate with each other. When time has gone by, more and more cooperation projects have come to us. These projects have included many different types of tailoring projects. It has proven that tailoring projects often differ a lot from each other. Anni Karppinen tells more about them.

• The level of product tailoring depends on the needs of the manufacturer. On one hand, there are cases where the standard model is modified a lot and on the other hand, there are cases where the modification is just a minor adjustment to the standard product.

Product tailoring is important in many ways. Firstly, the end-user of the product gets what he or she especially needs. This can mean a set of special quick couplers for a specific carrier machine or a special nozzle for a specific task. Secondly, the manufacturer client can save resources on the product research and development when they choose our product to be a starting point of their own product. Thirdly these projects make DYNASET products even better and suitable for the specific tasks.

How to Get Started?

Any product of the DYNASET line-up can be customized. Because of that, there are almost endless possibilities in the field of product tailoring. But if you have an idea about the product tailoring project, how you should proceed?

• The first thing to do is contact our sales. That way our salespersons can help with a need assessment and they can make the tailoring process begin. For the process, the salesperson team up with Dynaset engineers who have long experience with different kinds of product modifications varying from high-pressure water pumps to hydraulic generators summarizes Anni Karppinen.
