Normans’ Magnet Lifts Up to 7,5 Tons

In Stockholm, Normans AB presented a technical marvel, a brand-new and powerful magnet, DYNASET HMAG PRO 1200, capable of lifting up to 7,5 tons of metal. This impressive magnet, manufactured by DYNASET and supplied by AMAS Svenska AB, is a milestone in the recycling industry and a perfect example of innovative technology made to meet environmental and economic needs.

Normans AB has been a key player in the Swedish recycling industry for a long time. Their continuous pursuit of efficiency and sustainability led them to continue collaborating with Dynaset’s long-term dealer, AMAS Svenska AB, known for its expertise in demolition and recycling tools.

We have had a successful partnership for over 30 years. This long-standing cooperation should speak volumes about how much we truly appreciate and are satisfied with our relationship with Dynaset. They have consistently proven to be a reliable partner delivering high-quality solutions that meet our needs.

Technical Superiority and Versatility

HMAG PRO 1200 is not an ordinary scrap magnet. It is exceptionally effective for various types of metal recycling, placing it at the forefront of technological innovations.

Additionally, the magnet is equipped with OilQuick, a hydraulic quick coupler that enables fast tool changes for the customer, further enhancing efficiency and flexibility in their work.

The installation of the magnet on a Kobelco SK300LC-11 excavator was quickly completed. Filip Törling, an experienced excavator operator at Normans, and Pertan, a skilled service technician from AMAS, collaborated closely to ensure a smooth installation and startup.

Innovation in detail

The HMAG PRO 1200 hydraulic magnet not only lifts the metal on the surface but also effectively collects material from the demolition waste. This increases both efficiency and safety when working in recycling centers.

“As for the reception of the HMAG in Sweden, it has been very well received. It has quickly become the obvious choice for everyone within the heavy demolition industry where quality is of utmost importance. Its efficiency and reliability in demanding environments has proven its value time and again, making it an indispensable resource for us and our customers”, Fredrik Eriksson comments.

The initiation of the magnet took place on an unusually sunny December day in Handen, south of Stockholm. The day offered a clear sky and a high-spirited team.

This is not the first time AMAS has contributed to improving efficiency and working conditions at Normans. Earlier this year, AMAS delivered a Dynaset dust-control system to the company, significantly improving the working environment by minimizing dust at their demolition site.

“This technology is another example of Dynaset’s innovative solutions that help us meet both our and the industry’s needs. By integrating HPW-DUST into our equipment, we can effectively reduce dust dispersion at our job sites, which not only improves the working environment but also strengthens our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection”, Eriksson adds.

The future is bright

The initiation of the scrap magnet took place on an unusually sunny December day in Handen, south of Stockholm. The day offered a clear sky and a high-spirited team. “It was a perfect day for such a significant event,” commented Filip Törling, with a smile on his face.

With another magnet, Normans has strengthened its position in the recycling industry. This technological advancement is expected to increase their work capacity and contribute to environmental improvements through more efficient recycling.
