How Does the Hydraulic Magnet Generator Work?

The hydraulic magnet generator utilizes a machine’s hydraulic system as a power source to produce DC electricity for powering a lifting magnet

  1. Hydraulic oil flow is led to the hydraulic magnet generator through the pressure line
  2. The hydraulic magnet generator converts the hydraulic oil flow and pressure into DC electricity to power a lifting magnet.
  3. The hydraulic oil is led back to the carrier machine’s hydraulic oil tank through the return line
  4. The DC electricity is used for magnetizing and demagnetizing a lifting magnet. When demagnetizing, the power of a Dynaset hydraulic magnet generator pushes the load off a lifting magnet in 0.8 of a second.
  5. The magnet generator produces auxiliary AC electricity when equipped with an electric central

Additional Features

New HMG Pro Hydraulic Magnet Generator series includes smart features as an option. The new functionalities are called DSMART. It includes a mobile application (app) which provides user-friendly experience for operators to monitor performance and adjust the HMG PRO magnet generator. 

DSMART

DSMART allows operator to monitor the use of the magnet generator and adjust it by connecting the app to the magnet generator with bluetooth. For example, the operator can monitor and/or adjust the following: 

  • Voltage 
  • Current 
  • Power 
  • Usage time 
  • Running time of the magnet 
  • Running time of the generator 
  • Magnetization 
  • Demagnetization 
  • Sorting 
  • ED duty cycle 
  • Error codes 

Magnet Applications

  • Sorting function 
  • Eco mode 
  • Fast up function 

The app allows the operator to get the information to the screen into the cabin of an excavator or material handler and adjust the magnet generator. The operator can choose which screen to use whether it is a mobile phone or tablet. The DSMART functions can be purchased from DYNASET Dealers for the HMG Pro Magnet generator. The app is available for android in Google Play Store and for IOS in Apple App Store.
