EPW-DUST High Pressure Dust Suppression System

EPW-DUST High Pressure Dust Suppression System is the most innovative dust control system for electric mobile machinery in demolition, street cleaning, quarrying, crushing, recycling etc. The system produces atomized water mist with its electric water pump to suppress the dust and prevent the emissions from spreading to the environment.

The EPW-DUST High-Pressure Dust Suppression System generates an atomized water mist to effectively suppress dust and prevent harmful emissions from spreading into the environment. This dust control system gets its power from an electric high pressure water pump while its hydraulic counterpart HPW-DUST High Pressure Dust Suppression System utilizes hydraulics. As the most advanced dust control system for mobile machinery, it is perfectly suited for applications such as demolition, street cleaning, quarrying, crushing, recycling, mining, and material handling. The lineup consists of both AC and DC-powered suppression systems. Engineered for efficiency and minimal water consumption, the system enhances air quality and working conditions while reducing time, labor, and resource demands. Thanks to its low water consumption, it prevents your worksite from becoming a muddy field which makes it a better solution than traditional dust cannons.

Applications

Prevent and control dust emissions in street cleaning, demolition, recycling, quarrying, mining, crushing, material handling, tunnelling and drilling.

Key Benefits and Features

  • Produces a targeted water mist with extremely small droplet size directly at the dust source for effective suppression.
  • Dust suppression is activated directly from the machine cabin when needed
  • High-pressure dust suppression reduces PM10 dust concentrations during street brushing by 82% compared to no dust control and by 52% compared to low-pressure systems (based on impartial research by Metropolia University of Applied Sciences).
  • Keeps air cleaner after brushing and reduces health hazards at street level and worksites (according to impartial research by Metropolia University of Applied Sciences).
  • Prevents muddying and does not wet the worksite or street, enabling brushing and demolition without excess water.
  • Saves time, space, labor costs, and water compared to traditional dust suppression systems
  • Improves working conditions, such as visibility, especially during tunneling jobs.
  • Dust suppression nozzles can be mounted on machine attachments for targeted application.
  • Includes a washing gun for pressure washing.
  • Equipped with a robust and reliable EPW Electric High-Pressure Water Pump.

Key Benefits and Features with AC Pump

  • Easy installation thanks to a compact and lightweight structure; utilizes the electrical grid with no need for a separate engine.
  • 150 bar (2200 psi) max pressure with 15-liter (3.96 gal) flow ensuring the powerful performance.
  • IP55 protected – Designed to resist dust ingress and withstand water jets from any direction, ensuring durability in challenging environments.
  • 400-volt operation compatible with standard industrial power systems.
  • Always ready for use with low water consumption and low maintenance needs.
  • Models with automatic start-and-stop functionality available, offering enhanced convenience.

Key Benefits and Features with DC Pump

  • Easy installation and always ready to use, as DC pumps are powered by a machine’s or vehicle’s battery – no inverter needed
  • IP65 – Dust-tight and protected against water spray from any direction, ensuring durability, reliability and safe usage
  • High-pressure capabilities from 170 bar to 450 bar (2465 psi to 6527 psi), max flow rates up to 20–50 l/min (5.3–13.2 gal/min) depending on the model
  • Always ready for use with low water consumption and low maintenance, saving time
  • Saves space with a compact, lightweight design

How Does the High Pressure Dust Suppression System Work?

The high-pressure dust suppression system uses a machine’s, vehicle’s, or vessel’s electric system as its power source to generate a high-pressure water mist for dust suppression.

  1. The electric high-pressure water pump is connected to the machine’s electric system (DC) or to the grid (AC).
  2. An integrated electric motor powers the high-pressure water pump, which generates high-pressure water for dust control.
  3. The water is delivered to high-pressure nozzless at the optimal pressure level, creating an atomized water mist.
  4. The atomized water mist, composed of tiny water droplets, efficiently suppresses dust.
