How Does the Variable Hydraulic Generator System Work?
The variable hydraulic generator system uses the engine power of a machine, vehicle, or vessel, accessed through a PTO (Power Take-Off), as its power source to produce high-quality electricity for mobile applications.
- The system draws power from the vehicle’s engine or transmission PTO to drive a variable displacement hydraulic pump, which generates hydraulic oil flow—even while the vehicle is in motion.
- The hydraulic oil flow is directed to the hydraulic generator’s integrated hydraulic motor via the pressure line.
- The hydraulic generator converts the hydraulic oil flow and pressure into electricity.
- The hydraulic oil is then returned to the oil tank located inside the system’s enclosure through the return line.
- An electric cable runs from the generator to the electrical central unit, which can be installed at any convenient location on the vehicle.
