How Does the Pro Hydraulic Magnet Work?
The hydraulic magnet uses a machine’s hydraulic system via auxiliary line as its power source.
- Hydraulic oil flows to the integrated hydraulic magnet generator through the pressure line from the machine’s auxiliary hydraulics.
- The integrated hydraulic magnet generator converts the hydraulic oil flow and pressure into DC electricity for the lifting magnet.
- Hydraulic oil is returned to the carrier machine’s auxiliary hydraulics via the return line.
- The DC electricity is used to magnetize and demagnetize the lifting magnet. During demagnetization, the DYNASET Hydraulic Magnet Generator releases the load from the lifting magnet in just 0.8 seconds. If equipped with optional DSMART, the user may monitor and switch between usage modes.
- The hydraulic magnet is controlled hydraulically.
DSMART
The new HMG PRO Hydraulic Magnet Generator series offers smart features as an optional upgrade, called DSMART. This advanced functionality includes a mobile application that provides operators with a user-friendly experience for monitoring and adjusting the HMG PRO magnet generator.
DSMART Features
DSMART allows operators to monitor and adjust the magnet generator by connecting the app to the generator via Bluetooth. Key parameters and settings that can be monitored or adjusted include:
- Choose between four operating modes: Eco, Sorting, Fast up and Normal
- Monitor
- Voltage
- Current
- Power
- Usage time
- Running time of the magnet and/or generator
- Magnetization
- Demagnetization
- Sorting
- ED duty cycle
- Error codes
The app enables operators to view key information on a screen inside the cabin of an excavator or material handler and make adjustments as needed. Operators can choose their preferred device, whether a mobile phone or tablet.
DSMART functionalities can be added into new HMG PRO Hydraulic Magnet Generators. The app is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices and the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
