How Does the Hydraulic Pressure Intensifier for Cylinder Work?

The power booster increases the pressure of a hydraulic cylinder up to 700 bar to momentarily boost the power of an attachment such as pulverizer.

  1. The power booster momentarily increases cylinder pressure by utilizing the power of a machine’s hydraulic system. It has two working phases, here applied to a concrete pulverizer.
  2. Phase 1: High flow 240 l / min and low pressure 300 bar (according to the machine’s hydraulic system)
  3. 1st phase speeds up the jaw movement of the pulverizer.
  4. Phase 2: The working pressure is intensified at high pressure up to 700 bar through a low flow of 30 l / min
  5. 2nd phase is activated when the jaws begin to crush concrete and requires more force
  6. Overall result: The pulverizer jaws move faster and they crush concrete with more force.
