When working with machinery in the property management sector, there are many types of jobs where materials such as gravel, wet snow, and clay can easily get stuck in the machine’s bucket and become a challenge to remove. The work is considerably slowed when the operator must leave the cabin and go to the bucket themself to remove the stuck material or manually unblock any blockages.
Dynaset has adopted a strong customer-oriented approach to find and provide new solutions to meet customers’ different service needs. One of these solutions was found with Konetyöt & Kuljetuspalvelut KKP Oy Teemu Leppälahti.
Teemu Leppälahti, who provides subcontracting services, has long and solid operating machinery expertise and understands the challenges accompanying them. Leppälahti’s company KKP Oy offers subcontracting services to property maintenance companies, covering various types of machine work, yard work, and transport services throughout the Pirkanmaa region. Dynaset HVB Hydraulic Vibra, installed at KKP Oy in February, is the first HVB Hydraulic Vibra installed on a wheel loader, even though HVD Hydraulic Directional Vibra has been used on wheel loaders for years.
- We were on a sanding job and discussed with Jari Vuorenmaa, a Dynaset salesman, whether the Hydraulic Vibra could work with a sanding bucket. Then I called Jari, and the next day, we started executing the project,” says Leppälahti.
The HVB Hydraulic Vibra is particularly useful during winter for spreading gravel on icy surfaces and in snow removal tasks. With sanding tasks, blockages in the bucket can be cleared conveniently and safely with the HVB without crawling out of the machine and “kicking” the bucket. Additionally, when working with wet snow during snow shoveling tasks, the sticky snow can be more easily extracted from the bucket.
As a third important application, Leppälahti mentions street sweeping, where the HVB Hydraulic Vibra can easily remove sand from collecting and bucket brushes.
- For example, with sand brushing tasks, the only option is to use a shovel to dig the sand out of the bucket bottom, but that Hydraulic Vibra will clear it out,” says Leppälahti.
The HVB Hydraulic Vibra utilizes the hydraulic power of a mobile machine, which causes the machine’s bucket to vibrate. The vibration effectively helps to remove any material caught in the bucket without damaging the machine. According to Leppälahti, the work has become much faster, an essential aspect for a subcontractor. In addition, there is no need to leave the machine’s cabin, and the feature is quick to use.
- If I had known that it would work so well, I would have installed it in my first wheel loader five years ago; it really is worth every euro, Leppälahti describes his experience.
The HVB Hydraulic Vibra is also suitable for other applications. For example, it has been widely used in excavators to improve digging efficiency, especially to facilitate the digging of frozen ground and tree roots.
Leppälahti has been working with Dynaset for ten years. Since becoming an entrepreneur, he has already acquired a wide range of Dynaset products to improve his work efficiency. Leppälahti has three HPW hydraulic high-pressure water pumps for high-pressure dust suppression and one HPW 250 pump for moss removal and pressure washing of waste containers. An HG 3.5kW hydraulic generator is also permanently mounted on a wheel loader to power up tools required for well repairs. Finally, Leppälahti’s arsenal includes the HK 450 Hydraulic Piston Compressor, which is in mobile use when needed for dust blasting purposes.
