We’re Hiring Mechanical Engineering Team Leader

Are you an experienced mechanical engineering professional with the skills and motivation to lead people and contribute to bringing Finnish technological expertise to the global market? DYNASET Oy is a global leader in hydraulic generators, washers, and compressors. We are now looking for an energetic and skilled Team Leader to join our Mechanical Engineering Team on a permanent basis in Ylöjärvi. In this role, you will lead a team of five experienced designers and play a key part in the success of our product development and customer projects, while also building smooth collaboration with other departments at DYNASET. 

What does the role include?

As a Team Lead, you will act as an enabler for your team, balancing hands-on engineering and design work with coordinating daily activities, prioritizing tasks, and driving continuous improvement. This is not a line management role; instead, you will support the team in their day-to-day work, help resolve technical challenges, and facilitate decision-making related to product development and engineering solutions. 

Your mission is to ensure that work flows smoothly; projects stay on track, and quality remains at a high level. You will also foster collaboration within the team and enable them to effectively support other experts across DYNASET.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Mechanical Design team, coordinating and scheduling tasks, fostering a positive team spirit, and providing guidance and coaching to team members
• Continuously developing design processes and tools with another team leads
• Working closely with production, sales, and other product development teams
• Participating in mechanical and hydraulic design work based on your expertise

We hope you have: 

• Experience in team leadership or a supervisory role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A relevant technical degree (e.g., M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering) and several years of experience in mechanical design
• Expertise in hydraulics and understanding of hydraulic systems, including proficiency in drawings and tolerancing practices
• Fluent communication skills in both Finnish and English (within the team and with international partners)
