The Finnish company Bronto Skylift is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of aerial work platforms. Headquartered in Tampere, the company designs and manufactures solutions for rescue, firefighting, construction, and industrial applications. Founded in 1972, the company’s products are used in over 120 countries to enable safe work at heights and in challenging locations. The partnership between Dynaset and Bronto Skylift began in the late 1980s and remains strong to this day.

- Nearly all aerial work platforms are equipped with a Dynaset HG Hydraulic Generator. It powers both the work lights on the platform and the smoke extraction fan. Naturally, the rescue basket is equipped with outlets for both single-phase and three-phase power, said Bronto Skylift’s regional sales manager Ville Puustinen amid the hustle and bustle of the trade show

The rescue basket also features all sorts of other interesting features. For those working on the platform, there are four connections for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), so workers on the platform don’t have to carry them on their backs. This reduces the load on the platform and makes it easier to work and use safety harnesses.

The rescue basket also contains a low-pressure fire hose on a 20-meter reel for precise manual firefighting operations. Alongside it, on the other side of the rescue basket, is a real powerhouse: a water cannon that delivers a massive flow of 2,500 liters even when the rescue basket is as high as it gets.

- Here you’ll find practically everything you might need at height. There are even hydraulic connections at the rear of the rescue basket for hydraulic tools, Ville Puustinen continues.
Bronto Skylift’s vehicles are indeed an excellent example of Finnish engineering expertise and seamless integration between different pieces of equipment. The hydraulic generator, water pump, and self-contained breathing apparatus are all integrated into the machine to ensure quick deployment and reliable operation.
