The year is 2000. Reijo Karppinen, founder of Dynaset, is sitting in his office when the fax machine buzzes. A message from Sweden appears on the paper:
“I’m looking for magnets to put on sorting grabs mounted on excavators. We are selling a lot of equipment to the recycling business in Sweden. Please contact us if you have something interesting.”
In 2025, Amas and Dynaset will celebrate a significant milestone: 25 years of collaboration! The comments in this article are based on the answers given by Fredrik Eriksson, Marketing Manager at Amas, which have been compiled to mark the milestone anniversary.
The Beginning of the Collaboration: It All Started with a Fax
A partnership that started with a single fax and a hydraulic magnet has grown over the years into a close and multifaceted collaboration.
“We still have that first fax we sent to Reijo,” recalls Amas. That was the starting point for our collaboration – we had seen Dynaset’s hydraulic magnet at a trade fair and were immediately interested. The fax expressed an interest in representing the product on the Swedish market – and from there began a journey together that is still going strong.
The First Encounter Was Convincing – the DYNASET HMAG Hydraulic Magnet Sparked Interest
Amas took an early interest in Dynaset’s products – particularly the hydraulic magnet, which did not require an external power supply. It perfectly met the needs of Amas’ customers in the demolition and recycling sectors.
“A hydraulic magnet that did not require an external power supply was a perfect fit for our customer base. It was exactly the innovation we were looking for,” says Fredrik Eriksson.
Cooperation Deepens – Dynaset Products Become Part of Amas’ Range
Dynaset’s products are now firmly established in Amas’ range. Today, Amas provides nearly the full Dynaset lineup, from magnets and high-pressure water pumps to compressors and generators. “The last visit from Dynaset representatives was particularly memorable – a productive and fun day that sums up the spirit of this collaboration: doing business, but with heart.”

Fredrik Eriksson stresses that the long cooperation has been based on mutual trust and openness.
“Trust, openness and a common direction. We have grown together, listened to each other and resolved issues in a constructive way,” he concludes.

The launch of the HRVB Hydraulic Recycling Vacuum Bucket is one of the most memorable examples of successful cooperation for Dynaset’s Area Sales Manager, Esa Kannisto. “The product did not initially attract much interest in the market, but a video posted by Amas on social media gave it visibility and increased interest in the product in the market while also boosting Dynaset’s business. It was a good example of how both parties can support each other’s efforts and contribute to common goals.” Esa describes.
According to Esa, cooperation with Amas has been smooth and efficient. He describes Amas’ way of working as one that supports Dynaset’s values and practices – it has made the collaboration a natural fit. Esa says that Amas has a clear direction and the ability to drive things forward with technical expertise. Dynaset and Amas develop products together in a customer-oriented way – a true partnership where customer needs and challenges drive joint design and development, right down to product quality. Over the years, the collaborative process has been honed into a smooth, well-structured process with customer needs at its centre.
