Dynaset offers summer jobs where you get to truly work and learn. During summer 2025, several young people from various educational backgrounds worked in production and logistics roles. We interviewed three summer employees who shared their experiences, what they learned, and how they felt in the work community. Their stories reflect summer jobs where trust, support, and initiative go hand in hand.

Practical Experience in Electrical Assembly Supports Engineering Studies
Jesse Hytönen studies electrical power engineering at Tampere University of Applied Sciences and is about to start his third year in the fall. For the summer, he sought hands-on experience related to his field – and Dynaset provided the perfect opportunity.
“I wanted to get hands-on with the world of technology, especially electrical work. Dynaset was a great place for that.”
Throughout the summer, Jesse worked in the electrical assembly department, assembling control cabinets and working in accordance with certification requirements, such as ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management standards. Work also complies with the SFS 6002 electrical safety standard. After orientation, he was quickly trusted with independent work.
“It’s been great that they trust us here. Once you get to do things yourself, you really start to understand electrical diagrams in a whole new way.”
One of the most memorable moments was an innovation idea Jesse contributed related to the cooling of a control cabinet – and working on the HGV POWER BOX Variable Hydraulic Generator System, which he found especially rewarding.
The work community left a positive impression.
“From the beginning, I felt like part of the team. We chat, help each other, and the working environment is safe. I even took part in a fire extinguishing drill, which was a great addition.”
Jesse says he learned a lot about organization, accuracy, and careful work – especially from the perspectives of quality and electrical safety. Theory from school became real through hands-on experience.
“I’ve been looking to develop my expertise. Working here has strengthened the direction I want to specialize in.”
Dynaset could also be part of his future – a potential thesis project has already been discussed.
“I can definitely recommend Dynaset as a summer employer. It’s been a great place to work – you learn and enjoy yourself here.”
First Steps in Logistics Built Confidence and Practical Skills
Eveliina Pohjamo worked at Dynaset in logistics over the summer. The company was already familiar to her: her father assembler Tomi Pohjamo works at Dynaset, and she previously completed an internship in the Finance team.
“I followed Dynaset on Instagram and saw they were hiring summer workers. My dad encouraged me to apply – and it felt like a natural choice since the place was already familiar.”

Even though she had no prior education or work experience in logistics, Eveliina quickly got the hang of things with the help of thorough orientation.
“I started by operating the Tornado vertical storage system, and later worked with pallet racking. I handled picking, deliveries to production, and cell filling. You learn best by doing – and I’ve also learned a lot about our products and parts.”
The work has been both educational and fun.
“Even if you don’t know everything right away, they encourage you to try. No one gets upset about mistakes – there’s always someone to help.”
Settling into the team was easy, and her previous internship helped smooth the start.
“Everyone was very welcoming. Logistics Worker Eeva Vaala has been kind and supportive, and Finance Coordinator Hanna Markkola stood out as a great colleague – we had worked together during my earlier internship. Everyone else has been really nice too.”
Over the summer, Eveliina says she learned patience and the courage to try new things.
“There’s no rush, and it’s been great to realize that small mistakes are part of learning – the main thing is to try.”
Although Eveliina will begin business administration studies in the fall, she’s open to returning to Dynaset.
“I’ve really enjoyed working here. I could definitely see myself applying for another summer job.”
During the summer, Eveliina also came up with an idea to improve the reuse of plastic bags in logistics – and was awarded an innovation bonus for it.
Learning, Insight, and Hopes for the Future at Dynaset
Mohammad Iskif worked on the mechanical side as a summer employee. He has a background in automotive studies and experience from various jobs. He ended up at Dynaset based on a recommendation from someone he knew.
“Lassi was someone I knew and told me I should apply – they needed more people.”
Before starting, he expected the work to be physically heavy, but was positively surprised.
“I thought the work would be really tough, but it turned out to be lighter than I expected.”
During the summer, Mohammad worked with HPW Hydraulic High Pressure Water Pumps, KPL High Pressure Street Washing Units, and different compressors – such as HK Hydraulic Piston Compressors. He picked things up quickly, and the variety helped him get familiar with different tasks.
“The tasks became familiar quickly. I especially enjoyed working with the street washing equipment – you got to work independently and in different positions.”
The working pace and atmosphere left a positive impression.
“Things are done calmly and carefully here. There’s no rush. I really appreciated the breaks and flexible hours – the employee benefits are great.”
The team also made a strong impact.
“A really nice group of people: especially Supervisor Lassi Halonen, Shift Leader Kalle Vaskelainen, and Assembler Teemu Ylä-Soininmäki stood out. But honestly, everyone has been very helpful and kind. Teemu really took the time to explain things and let me learn.”
Mohammad found the work meaningful and appreciated the clear, steady approach. The most important thing he learned was about how to work.
“I’ve learned that you don’t have to rush – when you work calmly, it’s safer and the quality is better.”
Dynaset made a strong impression and inspired ideas for the future.
“I hope I can continue working here. I’ve really enjoyed it and would like to learn more about this field and build my skills through further studies.”
“I’m thankful to Dynaset – it’s been a really great workplace.”
